Freeing the whine from the wires.

Hello everyone and welcome to my first Blog of the New Year.
During the Christmas-New Year period I felt inspired to write a number of pieces influenced by Japanese Haiku, - leading to another poems collection “Paper Cuts”. This week’s Blog has a number of these for you to read, enjoy!
My poem of the week – on the homepage – was written after listening to the new Rolling Stones CD “Blue and lonesome”, but it refers to all blues musicians including myself.
The sun is clouded
Winter fog, ice cold shrouded
The frozen beauty.
My heated car the land defies.
Arriving home to grey skies.
Snow rests, garlands trees.
Christmas comes, the silent feast.
Busy outside paused.
Awkward truths emerging
Happy meets, the family around.
Love said, yet not.
Winterstruck with months to spring.
What spurs and moves on?
Two journeys to the Cuckoos song.
We play our game of words
Stated syllables or song
Lovers tongue-tied haikued wrong.
Until my next Blog, have a good week and take care.
Best wishes,
Louis
