No sale (and the hidden potential within?)

Hello everyone!

A couple of new poems / lyrics.

“God the healer” lyrics in a blues/gospel mode. Inspired by a recent meet with a friend of mine who is a physiotherapist among his other skills.

“No sale” refers to the realisation that there’s no point going on feeding / paying for services that produce no fruit to you. Sadly it’s time to “no sale” these and save your efforts / cash to invest elsewhere.

Even though I wrote the words in the lyrics/poem "the past is a predictor" - I would disagree slightly with the view that the past is a predictor of the future, since we can all surprise ourselves in the abilities and talents that lie dormant and undiscovered within us.

Enjoy the poems/lyrics, till next time, take care.

Best wishes,

Louis

God the healer

For God’s the healer

He’s your healer man

Cures all your aches and troubles

Whatever’s wrong, he’s your man.

He doesn’t just watch it,

He can cure your back.

Massages, soothes real good,

His skills know no lack.

For God’s the healer

He’s your healer man

Cures all your aches and troubles

Whatever’s wrong, he’s your man.

And when it comes to pay his bill,

Brother you will feel no rob.

For the healings complete and free,

It’s a proper job.

For God’s the healer

He’s your healer man

Cures all your aches and troubles

Whatever’s wrong, he’s your man.

No sale (a slow Blues)

You say your offer’s limited by time

Continue paying or we’ll cease your from our register.

But in spite of paying for some years before

I got zip, so who’s the jester?

I went and asked a buddy, is this like a Lotto ticket?

He said: “This won’t work for the past is a predictor,

But with each Lotto ticket purchase, you could be a victor”.

With all this in mind, I figured best to bale.

Sometimes it’s best to ring up

Strictly no sale.

No sale, no sale, strictly no sale.

Sometimes it’s best to ring up

Strictly no sale.
