Hello, welcome to my Blog this week.
This week’s poems and lyrics….
“It was”. Written as I was watching the news, about the recent events in London and elsewhere. This poem is a reflection on how events bring out a common humanity in all of us, setting differences aside.
”Too late now” A song lyric, rocking shuffle beat? In reality it’s never too late to do anything.
Poem of the week on the homepage, “Repeat till perfect” Any attempt to repeat cannot be an exact repeat, since history never exactly repeats itself.
Thanks for all your reads and following my Blog on Facebook and Twitter, much appreciated. Till my next Blog time keep safe and well,
Best wishes
Louis

It was
It was
Some mute sisterhood
Bonded in quiet grief
Common in the loss.
It was
A joyous group of brothers
Together in victory
Surfing their wave of joy.
It was
The separate strands of folks
All blended in the vortex of one event
Into one being
Any differences separated
And blown away like froth
To leave just smooth and pure.
And it was all right
And perfectly calm
So still
As sometimes if we’re lucky
It just will.
Too late now
Too late now
To find another flow.
Too late now
To see a way to go.
Time has passed
And evening draws on.
Without I knew it
Most of this day is gone.
I stayed awhile
Just to pause and think
But no sooner started
It’s gone in a blink.
Too late now
To find another flow.
Too late now
To see a way to go.
Too late now
To find another flow.
Too late now
To see a way to go.
