Hello and welcome to my latest Blog.

This issue’s poems and lyrics….

“A little of each”. Faced with so many interests, and only so much time to pursue them, I try and fail to prioritise and rank them in importance! The important thing is to enjoy what you do in the moment.

”Too late now” A song lyric. Easy shuffle, J J Cale mode? Words are a bit dark, but that’s the country/blues side of me coming through.

“Unwanted reminder” is my Poem of the week on the homepage. Recently I realised a lot of my CD collection was bands and artists from the 79/80s… some time ago. Fortunately I try to keep up via the Jools Holland TV program and the recent summer music festivals.

But… I still have my archive collection handy, who could get rid of a Ronnie James Dio/ Dio CD?

Thanks for following me for reading my Blog. Till next time keep safe,

Best wishes

Louis

A little of each

My “kids” are tugging at my sleeve

First one... the music!

Then … read me, this book!

And all the others

All calling, interrupting each other.

How do I choose? Among those I love

If one wins out then another, others lose.

So…

I don’t decide

And stumble on to my own carousel

Round and round, switching horses often.

A little of each, each gets a little

Each day continuing.

Too late now

Too late now

To find another flow.

Too late now

To see a way to go.

Time has passed

And evening draws on.

Without I knew it

Most of this day is gone.

I stayed awhile

Just to pause and think

But no sooner started

It’s gone in a blink.

Too late now

To find another flow.

Too late now

To see a way to go.

Too late now

To find another flow.

Too late now

To see a way to go.
